Madigan putting up 15-story apartment building in Soho
Madigan Development is moving forward with plans to bring a 49-unit, 15-story apartment building to 111 Varick Street in Soho, according to a permit application filed with the city’s Department of Buildings Monday.
The building will span 62,600 square feet and include ground-floor retail and apartments on the fourth through 15th floors. It is unknown if the apartments will be rentals or condominiums.
A six-story parking garage, located at the corner of Broome and Varick streets, currently occupies the site.
Madigan is a Midtown-based developer led by Lou Madigan, who was not immediately available to comment.
The Stephen B. Jacobs Group is serving as the architect of record, the filings show. -
